IMPORTANT

 

A Domestic Relations Financial Affidavit is required for all domestic cases involving temporary or permanent child support, alimony, equitable division of property, and/or modification of alimony.

 

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2007 For Domestic Cases involving child support, a completed child support worksheet AND a Financial Affidavit will be required at the mediation session.

 

FAILURE TO PROVIDE REQUIRED FINANCIAL INFORMATION WILL RESULT IN THE TERMINATION OF THE MEDIATION SESSION WITH THE NON-COMPLYING PARTY(IES) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ENTIRE COST OF THE SESSION (NOT LESS THAN $100.00).

 

Child support worksheets must be completed on the web or on the downloadable excel version.  The website to complete the worksheet as well as important information on how to complete the child support worksheet is available on-line at:  http://ocse.dhr.georgia.gov/portal/site/DHR-OCSE (the Office of Child Support Services Website) or http://www.georgiacourts.org/csc/ (the Child Support Commission Website).

 

Ø      If you do not have access to the internet, hi-speed internet access is available at your local public library.

 

Actions filed in the Griffin Judicial Circuit (Fayette, Spalding, Pike & Upson counties) can get child support set, collected or changed by contacting the Office of Child Support Services at (770) 229-3100 for Fayette & Spalding Counties or (706)646-6016 Pike & Upson Counties OR you can make application on-line at:  www.ocse.dhr.georgia.gov.

 

IMPORTANT:  When completing your worksheet on line – DO NOT submit it to the court until you have printed a copy.  Once the worksheet is submitted, you will NOT be able to retrieve it from the website.

 

HINT:  To calculate your child support easily, you need to have the appropriate documentation in hand.  Examples include:  documentation relating to income, preexisting child support orders, health insurance and work related child care expenses, and the child’s extraordinary special expenses.
